The usage of LAM Coke/ Nut Coke in Ferro Chrome Industry is used in the process of in reduction of ore into metal / alloys using Coke (Metallurgical Coke) as the reductant. The niche market for specialized coke which is known NUT COKE for consumption by Ferro Chrome producers ultimately catering to Stainless Steel Producers, is thriving and strong in India mainly due to healthy growth in domestic demand for stainless steel as well as India is being a preferred source for Ferro Chrome & Other Ferroalloys for international producers of Stainless Steel.

The Chemical & Physical characteristics of this grade of Coke (Nut Coke) is of smaller in size (10-mm-30 mm) compared to Blast Furnace Coke (30mm-80 mm) for use in the furnaces with high reactivity and with stringent quality of Low Ash & Low Phosphorus content.
