Ultra Low Phos LAM Coke

Ultra Low Phosphorus (Phos) Coke refers to a type of Metallurgical Coke with reduced phosphorus content. It’s required particularly in the production of making special types of steels. It has a detrimental effect on corrosion resistance and increases the tendency of the material to crack during welding. It can significantly impact the reduction kinetics, softening, and melting behaviour of the ferrous bed, leading to improved properties in the cohesive zone of the blast furnace.

Low Phos LAM Coke

Low Phosphorus (Phos) Coke refers to a type of Metallurgical Coke with reduced phosphorus content. It’s crucial for steelmaking, as lower phosphorus levels contribute to improving steel properties and reduction of impurities. The type of Nut Coke typically used in blast furnaces at varying percentages (2-23 wt.-%), is a form of coke that is mixed with the ferrous burden to enhance gas permeability and improve various stages of the iron making process.
